Thank you so much for this comment Philippe. I have a copy of your book which I treasure, especially as there is very little written about this kind of garden. In my opinion there is a great deal to learn from the Jardin de Cure and what you and your wife have achieved is a living archetype. Bravo to you and the community who keeps the garden going in these difficult times.

We are very happy you appreciate the garden we created (my wife and I) for the village of Chédigny. You explain so welling your post the messages we put in this singular project witch is a prolongation of the book we wrote a long time ago … “Jardins de curé, jardins d’antan” (Flammarion editor).

What an absolutely fascinating place – and so beautifully described that, -at moments- I felt as if I was there with you. I love the way that you have incorporated details of the garden’s history as you take us through and around these connected yet sometimes separate settings that ultimately form the whole. You convey the misty dream of it all but also the counterpoint of the gardeners’ busy and noisy arrival .
Your photos and text work so well together – And , ah , those snails and the spiders’ ‘spun bunting’. . . . an exquisite and adroit reminder of some of the true custodians of this garden.

Absolutely – what a wonderful advocate for the appreciation of the importance of our relationship with the natural world. I loved his biography by Andrea Wulf, The Invention of Nature and would highly recommend it.
